Natatorium Dehumidification Upgrade at St. Benedict's Prep

natatorium

This project consisted of an entire up-grade of an existing 30,000 CFM dehumidification system. The existing equipment was located in a basement mechanical space; the new equipment was installed outdoors. The existing inadequate duct system was removed and replaced with a combination of sheet metal and fabric duct. All of the work over the indoor Olympic size pool was performed on a custom built scaffold that was erected from the floor of the pool. The new equipment also serves as a pool water heater, which utilizes heat rejection from the condenser section of the dehumidification system. Our office was responsible for all aspects of work, including new below grade gas piping, electrical re-feed, pool water piping, masonry, concrete saw cutting, rigging, re-landscaping, and digital controls with internet monitoring capability.
