Norman Sheet Metal & Mechanical has extensive experience in the installation of complete HVAC systems in homes up to 40,000 square feet. The level of attention to quality and detail, and the coordination effort required to successfully work with architects, engineers, and interior designers has been a skill we have honed over the last 61 years. In short, we are a mechanical contractor who responsibly takes on installations of this magnitude because we have the management, and ample qualified field personnel to solely dedicate for several months, or even years, to a single project. Norman Sheet Metal & Mechanical has the expertise to design and install commercial grade mechanical systems required of such expansive spaces, all kept in conformance of impeccable interior finishes, and esthetic architectural designs, and ultimately easily controlled and maintained by the Estate owner.

40,000 Square Ft. Estate - Geothermal HVAC - New Construction
This West Jersey Estate is our Crown Jewel achievement. The installation included twenty-three zones of heating and cooling, an oil-fired hot water boiler plant, independent steam humidification, a six cylinder diesel back-up generator installed in the basement within a sound-proof room, thousands of square feet of indoor radiant floor heating, and an outdoor automatic snow and ice melt system. We were solely responsible for the installation of the geothermal well fields, which consisted of twenty-five, two hundred and fifty foot deep bore holes. Additionally, we installed a thirty thousand gallon, underground fire safety water storage tank. To respect the owner's privacy, pictures of the Estates exterior or grounds are not published.
125 Year-Old Mansion Renovation
This Northern New Jersey, 12,000+ square foot home was an extremely challenging project. The existing heating system was originally coal, converted to oil-fired steam. The home had no central cooling system. All of the interior walls were concrete. Our new systems were installed as not to disturb the historical ambiance of this home. Our installation included a new natural gas hot water heating boiler plant and central air conditioning system, all consisting of fifteen zones.
